The narrow-barred Spanish mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson) is descended from the surface fish family, and is one of the most popular fish in the Arabian Gulf. In some areas, it is called Drak, Dirak, and Dhirak. They are migratory fish seeking the appropriate food environment, and their fisheries are distributed along the coasts of several countries. This fish is affected by temperature and water currents, and it migrates from one region to another because temperature changes lead to the rush of cold water rich in nutrients from the bottom to the surface.
