Tuna (sometimes Thunnus) is a genus of ocean-dwelling ray-finned bony fish from the Scombridae (Mackerel) family. Many species of tuna are classified as warm-blooded, which is a rare trait among fish. Tuna fish ranges from light pink to dark red. All tunas are extremely strong swimmers, and they are known to reach speeds of up to 77 km / h (50 miles/ hour).
